Role and Responsibilities:

  • Adopting an inspirational leadership style which nurtures growth, creativity, accountability and fun.
  • Creation of unique training programmes which align to the organisation’s objectives and evolve to support the fast paced business requirements.
  • Working in partnership with various stakeholders to gain an understanding of their business areas and talent development requirements.
  • Embracing a blended approach to training techniques, including tech, tutorial sessions, role play or coaching.
  • Having an awareness of the allocated budget and it effective usage to maximise return on investment.  
  • Building relationships with 3rd party training providers.
  • Effective management and utilisation of the Levy fund.

Your profile:
  • Management, development and talent training.
  • Designing and supplying a variety of training styles.
  • Building relationships with external suppliers.
  • Managing budgets. 
  • Managing people.
  • Qualified to degree, CIPD or CTP level, or equivalent.
  • Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present to large audiences.
  • Organisational skills. 
  • Experience in technological course design and budget management are desirable.

You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of bespoke training and education programmes.  Designed with leadership, marketing, management and best practice in mind.  The intention is to identify and develop the talents and skills of colleagues at all levels within the organisation, creating transparent succession planning and career paths.


You will be required to immerse yourself in the business, its strategy and our industry to establish performance programmes.  In addition, you will be required to work alongside the people and talent attraction teams to devise a talent development strategy to encompass all elements of colleague investment from induction to senior leadership development.


Your role as learning and development manager is to fundamentally assist in the organisation’s success, by coaching and developing our people.
